Marine disaster is one of my biggest areas of interest within the marine sector. Safety and disaster go
hand-in-hand and large incidents will always lead to changes in regulations, creating a ripple effect that spreads
through the industry. I also just think it's fascinating to learn about the flow of events which culminate into disaster. The documentation of marine disaster is incredibly important to me because as a mariner it is very personal. To keep up to date on what is going on in the marine world, I like to read the recent TSB investigations in Canada and the US, or overseas if an incident is large enough to garner worldwide attention.
