CUSTOMIZATION/MODDING EXTERNAL TOOLS
my collection of plugins, useful sites, guides and other resources. the biggest collections of community resources are on discord......... but have we all really resigned ourselves to joining big discord servers just to look at game guides?
on modding and plugins
obviously modding is not expressly permitted by square enix... lets all just be chill for 5 minutesCUSTOMIZATION/MODDING EXTERNAL TOOLS
- teamcraft
- don't forget to check out the teamcraft community lists when levelling crafters or catching up on the lvl 1-60 crafting quests
- ACT / fflogs
- garland tools
- ocean fishing timer/planner
- submarine route flowchart / submarine loot
- TLDR; submarines require a great deal of investment and levelling in order to start earning, but eventually start to generate a decent amount of passive income.

- eureka guide / eureka tracker
- doman mahjong rules / yaku list.
- mahjong soul classroom. for anyone looking to get started out, i would recommend familiarizing with mahjong soul before jumping into doman mahjong. the riichi mahjong tutorial in mahjong soul holds your hand through the confusing rules and is an easy way to learn the game. you can play mahjong soul in-browser or through the desktop or mobile app.
- tenhou.net. mahjong online
- i'm slowly writing a guide specifically for doman mahjong but i'm forbidden from finishing it until i either hit expert in mahjong soul or mahjong master in xiv...(i'm in pain).
- TLDR; doman mahjong = riichi mahjong. there are plenty of videos covering the basics of riichi but you really just have to play to learn and improve. it is a game that rewards patience and perserverance. ^_^

HOUSING

famfrit, mist plot 37 ward 20 (active)
i entered a draw for a medium house on a whim and won, so i finally said goodbye to my old plot in the goblet and moved over to the mist. i've never decorated in a medium before, so it was sooo nice to have more space and item slots to use compared to a small plot. this build is the first time i've had space for multiple rooms, so there is a living/rec room where most of the ceiling is raised, a kitchen with a small bathroom off the far end, and a bedroom with a daybed on the end opposite the kitchen. the concept behind the build is that it was a forgotten and overgrown vacation house that my characters have recently moved into.
famfrit, goblet plot 14 ward 20 (demolished)
this is my old personal house. i finished this build just after dawntrail released because i was so in love with the newly added rail-and-stile partition (which form the wall trim and open door 'frame' into the kitchen). the build changes slightly from day to nighttime; during the night the light fades from the windows to reveal rain falling (from waterfall partitions clipped into the wall). clothes are scattered on the floor, dirty dishes piled in the sink, and the house is otherwise messy and lived-in.
famfrit, lavender beds plot 22 ward 25 (active)
our free company house and the offical famfrit yaoi clubhouse. the idea behind the build is that our depreciating free company rented a home (hence the landlord special; pure white walls) and turned it into a frat house. the communal livingroom is scattered with papers, bottles, and empty takeout bags as each FC member squabbles over chore responsibility and leaves it for the next person to clean. the entrance to the fc workshop is marked with caution tape for privacy as our jewelery salvage business really begins to take off.
famfrit, lavender beds ward 3 apartment 33 (active)
this is my interpretation of what the innroom belonging to roman might look like. the windows are cracked and room kept dark with curtains. the stove running in such a small space keeps the humidity well in check, so mold is somehow not a concern. this is how this environment looks when it is at its cleanest.
i've always loved scrolling the #ff14housing tag on twitter and looking through all the amazing builds other players come up with. it's very funny to look at a piece of furniture and realise that it's made of 16 different items floated together.
